There really is nothing nicer in the run up to Christmas than to find yourself in a beautiful medieval city in the evening with shops that stay open to welcome you in. Just picture the bright lights and warmth of an evening shopping beneath the stars. Many of our shops are open until 9pm on Thursdays and with free parking from 6pm in central car park why choose to go anywhere else.

Wander amongst the independent shops and take your time to choose those extra special gifts (and don't forget those treats for yourself of course). Don't forget to stop for a refreshing cup of tea every so often or even a meal at one of our restaurants - start Christmas early by shopping late.

Charter market

Every Tuesday & Saturday

With up to 100 stalls, which include Farmers stalls, the Charter market can be found in the heart of Salisbury every Tuesday and Saturday.

With the wide range that such a number of stalls can offer, the market is open from 8am until 4pm. Taking place in the ancient Market Place, there is no better location for this colourful market and it is must visit location this Christmas.
